The Video-Lynx Z23B is a high performance,
high power FM video/audio transmitter capable of near broadcast quality
video transmission. It uses a new digital PLL design and surface mount
technology. The Z23B is built to commercial standards, at a ham radio
price.

The Z23B was designed after many requests from ham ATV'ers for a high
performace transmitter following their frustration with poorly designed
FM video transmitters. The Z23B is built using high grade SMT components.
The RF and base band circuitry is optimized for stable operation. A Mitsubushi
RF module provides more than 2W of continious power. The Z23B is a really
"cool" transmitter, with a built-in fan for extended key-down
operation. The video quality of the Z23B is comparable to commercial STL
video transmitters. Check here
for an actual scope snap shot of a transmitted test signal. |

| Video Input |
The Z23B accepts NTSC composite base-band video, 1-1V peak
to peak.
|
| Audio input |
Audio is line level. Adjustable to 50KHz deviation for inputs
between .01 to 2V P-P.

| Frequency
Select Dip switches |
There are 4 dip switches in the front panel that selects the
transmit frequency. Each dip switch corresponds to a pre programmed
frequency. An UP position is considered ON and a DOWN position
is considered OFF.
|
Dip switch position 1 ON rest OFF = 1280.00 MHz
|
Dip switch position 2 ON rest OFF = 1265.00 MHz
|
Dip switch position 3 ON rest OFF = 1255.00 MHz
|
Dip switch position 4 ON rest OFF = 1252.00 MHz
|
All other combination of dip switch settings will default to
1252.00 The Z23B is factory set to transmit on only 4 frequencies
as specified in the US for 23cm FM ATV. However we realize that
foreign hams or certain repeaters and simplex coordinated frequenceis
may vary. The Z23B can provide a total 16 different frequencies,
by simply replacing an 8 pin socketed chip inside. A custom
programmed chip is $25.00. We will not program frequencies
outside US ham bands, or portions of the band allocated for
other modes. Please be considerate before transmitting, check
with local ATV'ers and frequency coordinators before transmitting
to verify that you are not causing interference. Please remember
that a responsible ham is a good ham, and it is our duty to
police the privileges given to us as hams.

| Note: The Videolynx
Z23B is an Amateur Radio ATV transmitter. This transmitter can ONLY
be operated in the USA by a Technician class (or higher) licensed
Radio Amateur, and for legal purposes per 47 CFR part 97 of the
FCC Rules. 97.113 of the FCC Rules prohibits the use of Amateur
Radio Frequencies to further any business purpose, whether for profit
or non-profit. With few exceptions, per 91.111, any transmission
must be directed to at least one other licensed Radio Amateur. Amateur
Radio is intended for personal or hobby non-commercial communications
between licensed Radio Amatuers. With the exception of running less
than 1 watt for radio control purposes, Amateurs must identify with
their call letters plainly seen in the video every 10 minutes for
extended transmissions, and at the end of every transmission per
